Buck-e selected for RFID Journal Awards

Microtron’s RFID projects are being praised worldwide! Together with Fairville, the Buck-e project was selected for the prestigious RFID Journal Awards!

Buck-e is an RFID project for schools to encourage regional mobility and reduce the environmental impact. As political pressure increases worldwide to tackle climate change, local communities are taking action. Fairville and Microtron developed a system using RFID technology to reward students when they cycle or walk to school. More than 200 schools have already been equipped with the Buck-e system. Since the beginning of 2019, more than 20.000 students have cycled more than 650.000km, burning 12 million calories and reducing 650 tons of CO2 emmissions.
