RFID

Technology helps us to automatically identify objects and to send this information directly to a data processing platform. The best-known and most commonly used technologies today are still barcodes (1D or 2D), but we have also seen a strong rise in RFID in recent years. Reading barcodes requires visual contact between the object and the reader (scanner), but RFID can be used to identify objects without the label being visually visible. With RFID, larger numbers (hundreds) can also be identified quickly and without errors. This makes this technology extremely suitable for reducing error margins and optimizing many existing processes.

When information such as the location of the object or status (temperature, humidity, etc.) is also important, a series of proven technologies including the most well-known GPS are available, but also Ultra Wide Band (UWB), Bluetooth or a series of other localization systems (Real Time Locate Systems) can help.
